This is a great little spot hidden on the east side of Schroon Lake. A very charming store with daily breakfast and sandwiches along with lots of charming regional gifts. There's a grocery and mini hardware section so you don't need to go far for basic necessities.
Great general store. Good food, nice toys for the kids and interesting Adirondack souvenirs and decorations.
What a gem! Great old building. Neat as a pin inside. Great selection of merchandise. Fantastic food and service. Even a deli counter and a cooler featuring Oscar's meats. Just up the hill from Schroon Lake. Stop in for breakfast or lunch - or just to browse.
I love this place. Great breakfast sandwiches and convenient to the east side of the lake.
The sheer ambiance of the shop with all of its knick knacks and basic needs for tourists in the area combined with an excellent breakfast menu and seating makes this a real gem in the area. Its off the well trodden path and really gives ones a sense of a throw back to the adirondack of old. I highly recommend even just browsing and stopping by.
